Mac came home today!!!! We picked him up from our parrot store this afternoon and have been getting him used to his new family. Right now he is taking a nap cause he is tired out from all this excitment. He seemed a little nervous on the ride home and when we first got home, but then he started exploring his new cage and playing with his toys. We had cuddle time for each bird separately and Mac started preening Tex's goatee, which we thought was a good sign. Because we are in an a apartment quarentine is hard so we are trying a semi-quarentine where his cage is not close to Ham's, but is in viewing distance and we have had them out at the same time, just not on the same person. We are trying really hard to change shirts and wash hands when we switch birds, but it is going to be really tough. I will be really nervous until his well-birdie visit next week. I was nervous about this whole day, but everything seems all right. Mac is adjusting well and Ham is curious but not too curious. They have seen each other but we will wait a while before the first contact. Mac is such a sweetie!!! This is going to be fun:)

I am so happy for you all, I'm sure that as time goes on Hamlet and Mac are gonna be giving Mum and Dad a lot of hassle, (this I know about, honest :D ) but it is so much fun,

Sounds like things are gonna go real easy for you all, the curious but not too curious is a good sign. Can't wait for more pics of them and before long I'm sure that we're gonna be seeing them both get up to all sorts of mischief. :D :D :D The fun really starts.

Hey don't do that to me, thought for one minute I was going nuts, first there were no pics, posted and then there were pics.

Saw the note on the bottom of the post. He is a real beauty. How old is he? Now can't wait to see the pics of Hamlet and Mac getting up to mischief. :D

Mac is just over 3 months. His hatchday is 2/6. We didn't expect to get him so early, but he weaned two weeks ago, so here he is!
And I think there is going to be a lot of mischief! Mac had all ready tried climbing the curtains and flying over to us when we were in the kitchen. I think he is going to be the instigator. Takes after his dad :)

Well, here is the thing, we aren't used to having a partially flighted birdie around here ... it's going to take some getting used to ... going to have to close the cage door, and double check it!

Congratz Christy and Tex.

Cant wait to hear and see more of him. Im sure Mac and Hamlet will become the best of freinds and love to work against you two. :D

Welcome to the parrot forums Mac!!!! The little guy loves having his picture taken just as much Ham!!! He's quite a little cutie. Good luck with everything and can't wait to see more pictures.

Congratulations!!

Why does all the good stuff get posted after I'm gone for the day and then I don't see it till the next morning? Listen up everyone....only post between 7am and 3pm umm...I forgot what time zone I'm in, haha.

But yeah, Congratulations Tex, Christy, and Hamlet too :D

that's between 6-2 eastern, 8-4 mountain and 9-5 pacific ... you are in the central time zone

I noticed this post just before going to bed, I answered it asking for pics, posted my response and there were the pics. I ended up getting very confused. Now one of ya is gonna have to get up at UK time just for me. :D :D

haha, NERD!! :D
Now one of ya is gonna have to get up at UK time just for me. :D :D

U.K time ... is 5 hours ahead of Eastern Time, 6 a head of Central time, 7 ahead of Mountain Time and 8 ahead of Pacific Coast time ...

I am not a nerd, I just have to know this stuff for when the Sox are playing any team NOT in the American League Eastern Division, wouldn't want to miss first pitch!

I also know the UK conversions because Christy spent a Semester in London a few years ago and I needed to know when to call her!

So there ... :p
