Mac in Tombstone, AZ

We took Mac on a bit of a day trip yesterday. Loaded up all the stuff we needed and headed out to Tombstone, about an hour or so away.

The acrylic cage worked well for the travel part but I noticed a couple of problems and we cut the day short.

The major problem I notice was the temperature in the cage got warmer than I was comfortable with while we were walking, even though we stayed in the shaded areas.

I'm going to have to make some changes in the configuration and probably just use this for a sleeping cage when we travel.

Currently working on a design to build a breakdown stainless steel cage.

I have a clear plastic type carry cage also and the same thing happened to us. They are good for transport only in a cool environment but not much else.

I got a cat carrier for Bob. I put a perch in it and then disovered that the holes in the door were too big. I fixed that problem with some stainless steel wire mesh.
