Loves fingers, hates toes!

Hi conure folks! This is my first thread, but I poked around for a while and didn’t find an answer to this particular question. Here it is:

My sweet, snuggly, playful 8mo old GCC will sometimes play fight or wrestle with my fingers, but always in a very gentle happy way. A good bird all around, sweet, affectionate, curious and getting along great with the clicker training. He/she (haven’t tested yet!) loves to preen my hair and nibble my fingers but is never rough.

That is, until little birdie sees TOES. Human feet must be charged and attacked! Toes must be chomped! Tails must flare and heads must fluff!!! The Savage Toe Demon will have vengeance!

However, if the fingers intervene to remove the bird and rescue the toes, the fingers will still be treated with the loving respect they deserve.

Does anyone else have a GCC that does this? And why my toes??

The Rb has a decades-long fury aimed at toes, indeed!
He attacks them viciously at every opportunity... my toes, ANYBODY's toes!
Fingers? Clearly another issue. He only attacks them now and then.
