I am looking for a legitimate breeder for a severe Macaw. I don't really trust what I am seeing on line. I don't want to be scaled. Doesthat anyone have any ideas ?

Thank you

Welcome,

In October of 2015 I lost my Amazon of 39 years. On December 20 2015 I brought home a Hawkhead as a result of a rehome situation. That adult bird was the best decision I've made in a long time.

Welcome to the forums! May help to consider rescues, breeders, and pet shops to find your ideal bird.

I'm so sorry that you lost Jasmine. I know what that's like. You see I lost my mother back in April 2019. Then 3 months later I lost my "Star Mommy." She was a parakeet. I called her my little "Diva Bird because everyday she HAD to have FRESH food and water ON TIME. My older bird Sky didn't care about water or fresh food. He would eat leftovers until I changed his food each day. Not Star though. If I was too slow in changing her food she would call out loud "TOO TOO TOO." One morning I took too long getting her new food into the cage, because I was ironing my clothes for work so, Star came out of her cage and flew sooo low over to me that she popped me on top of my head twice. When I fussed at her for that, my older bird Sky yelled back at me really loud Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah like he was saying "dont talk to her like that."(Star was Sky's girlfriend.) I really miss my Star Mommy, but Im so glad that I still have pictures and videos of her on my phone. I took one of the pictures on my phone and enlarged it when I printed it. It's such a good way to remember her.
