Parrots
African Greys
I finally dialed in my new "birdy bread" recipy in that my weirdo youngster African Grey now loves it too. By way of example he is the first parrot I ever met that seems indifferent to things like fresh bananas. On the other hand with spinach it was love at first bite. Anyway, I thought I would fortify the stuff with some basic minerals and vitamins and was wondering if anyone has product suggestions. Probably I'm looking for a powdered suppliment baked into the "mini muffins" I make for them. These already have a large variety of veggies, and other stuff, so the micronutrients should be pretty varied, but I suppose it couldn't hurt.

Adding vitamins to food, unless directed to by your Avian Vet, is not a great idea, too much of a good thing is not a good thing!

My avian vet also advises me that a good diet, especially supplemented by a good pellet, like Harrison's, is what they need... unless directed by a vet, based on lab tests or such...
