Hi
I live in Miami. I fell in love with parrots about 40 years ago and began by breeding lovebirds. Then I graduated to african grey and amazons. I currently have a Tres Marias Double Yellow Head , male, his name is Curro, which I have had for about 3o years. I am an opera singer so all of my talking birds sing opera. Curro has a particularly sweet human voice very similar to mine. I will try to include his photo. The most memorable birds in my heart was a yellow nape subspecies with a white/horn colored beak probably from somewhere near Honduras. She was a female and she was Curro #1. My second most memorable was a Blue Crown Mealy (Farinosa Guatemalae) named Loretta . I would like to acquire another Blue Crown should anybody know of one.
I know of someone in Florida looking for a good home (free )for their Umbrella Cockatoo - very sweet and tame. I was tempted but I want a Blue Crowned Mealy. I am happy to be on this website.
