Apparently I don't have enough things to distract me so I've decided to take up needle felting - using a very sharp, barbed needle to shape unspun wool fibers into various shapes. I'm hoping I get good enough to make sculptures of our fids.

It's only about 2" tall (~5 cm) so I'm thinking of making it into a keychain or ornament.

That is adorable!! :) Ive always loved knitting, crochet and felting...sooo fun! :)

I do too. About a year ago I purged my stash and took boxes and boxes of yarn to GoodWill. I'm trying sooooooo hard not to buy any more until I use what I have.

I've felted knitted pieces without much luck but this is my first try at needle felting. I made another little owl today and a pig. I'm hoping to find some white, black and gray roving tomorrow. I know, I'm weak.

The problem I always have is I start something then get a great idea for something else so I never finish anything:mad: lol

I really love your owl, I can't wait to see more especially as you get better and better!
