So today was a bad day ,i had to work overtime.
After work my younger sister dragged me to the shops, because she needed to go to one shop.(we work together)
So after being dragged there i started to look around and found the child toy section.
I found nice plastic colored dice!
I never saw them before and quickly packed a few .

So when home i immediately drilled holes in it.

I will have to sand the holes down before using them.
My drill in empty at the moment and i still got 9 to go.
I also found something i have been looking for since i began making toys.
Plastic Pacifiers!they cost to much with shipping and i have never seen them here.
I couldn't believe my luck,i am a very happy person right now:p

So this is what i made, the rope is coconut rope.
I was going to use sisal but the one my mother and i bought is just to thick.
Which i a shame since we have about 200 meters.
The rope was really rough on my thump even got a blister.
But it is one of my fids favorite ropes to chew on.

Really nice idea! Good job :)

My Red Bellied parrot LOVES those little pacifiers. He can play with them (and plastic chain) for hours on end and not get tired of it.

FANTASTIC job on that toy!!!

May I suggest for the sisal, that you try and separate the strands. My sisal is twisted with 3 strands, and untwisting them makes it much easier to work with. (But it's also rough on the hands.)

I used all of it in this toy.
I am soooo going to buy everything when i come their next week.
You can buy them on ebay too.

You did a great job. I want to start making my own toys. I'm not that creative to make toys and I'm scared to use something I shouldn't. I would have past up the dice. I'll have to start looking for them.

What an awesome toy!! Best part is most of it you will probably be able to reuse. I know at least our guys don't mess up the plastic beads, they just like to pull it all apart and listen to the sound of them hitting the bottom of the cage! I find myself about every night going thru the tray and picking out toy parts... if that isn't true love, what is :)

Share some after pics, love to see what kind of damage they do!
