Zoe's latest trick is she's learned how to wriggle her bowls out and spill the contents.

This causes a problem because I don't want her to be hungry or thirsty while I'm at work. Any suggestions?

Smart crock

My grey did that.

I had to get the smart crocks and he would occasionally still unlock them.

For exceptionally smart birds, padlocks are often the only solution. I might drill a hole near the top of the dish and padlock it to the cage bars.

Our Eleanora Too is insane !! All are Toos throw everything out of their bowls [then look hungry :0 ]. Sassy had these interlocking bowls [that you would think do the trick ]. Not for him :) We have resorted to putting a HUGE crock for food on the bottom of the cage .He cant tip it and doesn't poop in it . Im lucky he leaves his water dish alone .I know what your going through ,just sharing your pain :).

Karen, my Niko figured out those 'not' so smart crocks in under an hour. :54: I know it can be a REAL pain in the butt to have such a super smart bird. What I ended up having to do is buy really heavy duty ceramic crocks, which are apparently too heavy, and to tightly secured in the food holders, cause he's finally given up on them. :)

Here is something similar to what I use now:
[ame=http://www.amazon.com/Prevue-Products-BPV6400-Ceramic-8-Ounce/dp/B000N3RB4M/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1433770548&sr=8-11&keywords=ceramic+pet+food+dish]Amazon.com : Prevue Pet Products BPV6400 Ceramic Marble Crock Dish Birds Cups, 8-Ounce : Pet Bird Feeders : Pet Supplies[/ame]

Those things have a 'lip', so they sit on the ring where the regular SS bowl would normally fit. The ones I found are super duper snug.

Thanks Wendy! That's an excellent suggestion. Cal Cages used to come with ceramic and as much as the Terror loves to dismantle things and fly around with them and I think ceramic would definitely be too heavy.
