Hello, I'm a newish owner to a sulfer crested too. She is my baby and I love her very much. She has desided to not like me and love my husband, any tips on my baby coming back to me?

Welcome !

Give her time....offer her favorite foods/toys...talk to her....interact with her....but mostly time....

Mickey (U2) decided early she loved my husband, to the point where she would bite me (HARD) if I got anywhere near him. It took years of interaction to get to a point where her and I "trust" each other completely. She still likes him better if he is available to her, but I don't get attacked anymore.....

Thank you so much and my birds name is tinker bell. I won't give up. she has also bit me very hard (blood). I will keep trying. I have herd that people go to the vet and give them hormonr injections, that can't be good.

The hormone injections are to try and prevent egg laying most of the time, although in male cockatoos, it may help to prevent prolapses.

Have you ever looked into clicker training, positive reinforcement and applied behavior analysis? It sounds like your girl could benefit from some new training as well as socialization with new people.

I'm working on it, we got her all new toys, and I will change them out every day or other day I will try the clicker, Last night after my husband came home, she literately came at me to attack. I really miss how she was when I first brought her home.

We went through months of this ( the attacks). I could not be in the same room with Hubby if Mickey was out of the cage! Part of it may be hormones, ours seem to go through that every late spring through Oct.

In addition to Monica's suggestions, I will suggest that you not try to work with her with Hubby present. Spend time with her away from him. When we were going through it, if hubby was present, I ignored him and her, and let her have her time alone with "daddy". Her and I spent time alone without him, and she learned that I was ok, and not trying to steal "her man" lol

Now that we have worked through it she will allow us to be together, and will even reach so that she can "hold" both of us (hands/fingers) at once and get double kisses. It wasn't easy, or fun to go through, but with patience I think you will be ok.

Thank you so much, I have great hopes now. I will do just what u said. I just love her so much.

What MickeysMom suggested is great!

Work on a relationship with your 'too while your hubby is away, then once you've established that, you can then slowly work on interacting with her in a positive manner when your hubby is present.

Lara Joseph was having problems with her M2 attacking her feet any time her husband was around. She solved this by playing a ball tossing game with Rocky. Rocky learned to chase balls with Lara and he really enjoyed it. One day, her husband was in the dinging room reading the newspaper and Lara was in the kitchen. Rocky got out of his cage and came into the room, on his feet. Instead of jumping up on the countertops to avoid Rocky, Lara instead tossed the ball! And so the ball tossing game began, completely avoiding any aggressive behavior!
