Little Leia! (Pictures)

I just wanted to share my new sweet little Alexandrine girl with you all!

I decided to get her because I lost my wonderful (but old and lately not in the best of health - so it wasn't that big of a surprise) Ringneck boy Nicko, leaving not only me but also Ringneck girl Meg really heartbroken without him. Meg never was much of a people bird - she'll step up, take treats from me and has accepted the occasional scritch, but she doesn't really get much out of me. She needs bird friends - preferably of the Psittacula kind since that's what she's used to and what speaks her language.
..and I wanted to add another bird friend for me too of course!

After I introduced Leia to Meg, they seemed to get along right from the start, and after a couple of hours, I left them both in the aviary to go get myself some food. When I returned, they had both gone to bed - like this:

And they've been friends ever since! Meg really did become happier and her regular old self again after meeting Leia. :') And Leia is the SWEETEST little girl, ever!
