For those of you who know we are adopting a Linnie, it's official.......we will be able to adopt both Linnie babies! Yay! :D

The breeder sent out a last call email to the other interested party on Tuesday and wanted to give them a day or more to respond. I emailed her today and she hasn't heard back, so I can now officially adopt both!

We are going to call the second Linnie Marcus' (my son) bird with complete supervision of course as he is only 3. But at least he will have one he can call his own. Morgan (my 7 yr old daughter) is willing to do all the maintenance for him. :D

Hopefully I will have more pics to share this weekend!

I just emailed you. LOL! You saw this quick! Morgan is very excited. We just went to the dollar store this morning and bought $26 worth of stuff to make toys for the Linnies! Marcus is jumping for joy, too! LOL! I will have to share pics of them making toys for there new babies. :D

congratulations Blancaej.

Linnies are just super super birds, easy to take care, quiet, slow, and are very beautiful.

what I love about linnies are they are great with humans even if they are with their own kind, and are not really prone to biting unless they are really angry about something.

can't wait to see more pics.

.....remember NO CHAINS, LOL

Thanks Crimson! I remember when I was looking into different birds for my daughter that Linnies were mentioned several times. I think it is a good fit. Thanks for the advice on chains. I have Jute we were going to use to make the toys. Will that be ok?

Oh right! No chains! I forgot about that for a moment. Geez, some good advice after what you've been through!

Possibly Buttercup or Lemon for the female creamino & Coby or Blueberry for the cobalt male. My kids are young so that could change before the pick up. Lol! :D

She figures they will be weaned mid to late Sept!

I hope to put there cage together this morning, if I get through my weekly cleaning quick enough! I've got to leave for work by noon! :D

gosh this brings back memories, we had two exactly the same, the creamino we named Buttercup, and the blue one we named Saffire(saffie) for short.

I like Buttercup and Blueberry:D

I got the creamino name from you Crimson! In one of your posts on my threads. :D

I didn't realize you had a cobalt, too! The kids have firmly decided on Buttercup & Blueberry. Those 2 were my favorite, too! I hope they stick with those names!
