So today I went into overdrive, trying to take "decent" pictures of my Amazons. Yes, the calendar had something to do with it

There will be LOTS of pictures, it'll take me a while to post them all, so please be patient.

It will be a mix of Hunter & Sam. And for what it's worth, at one point I tried to get Sam excited, so I could see his plummage....I will NEVER do that again!!! I used a stuffed animal. A Koala that laughs (a dog toy that is put away because it belonged to my Bernese Mountain Dog who crossed over Rainbow Bridge 2 years ago). Sammy did NOT like that a bit. And LONG after it was put away he was QUITE angry with me, and QUITE unforgiving. :11:

aww the beak to beak is so cute. Good job, mine all seem to hate the camera. I tried last night to get some great blood feather pix for the forum on my sons Too, but she wanted to eat the camera instead.

The first pic of Hunter. <3 Why are he your miracle bird?

She is my miracle bird because her vet believed she had cancer in her eye. She had a recurring "growth" that was removed 3 times this year alone. The last surgery the vet decided to send the growth to 3 (!!!) different research institutes. It was NOT a papilloma (as per the first pathology results in 2005), it was NOT cancer, but she had a XANTHOMA. They are basically harmless - but quite a pain in the neck if they grow on the eyelid

It hasn't grown back in 4 months now...fingers are crossed!
