Blue fronted amazon - Ebbe
Hello, It's me, again!

I just found a club for bird owners in my area that I will visit later during the month but until then, I still depend a bit on you knowledgeable people!

I was wondering about daily activity and inactivity. Ebbe sleeps for 12 h at night with his cage covered. During the day he takes some naps but sometimes he can be extra tired for 1-3 days. Today he's very tired. I trained him a bit this morning but he mostly just wants to sit on his perch, sometimes with his beak under his wing.

When should I be worried and can I do anything to make him more active?
I've got full spectrum lamps up since a couple of weeks ago.

really I would be worried if he did it for more than 1 day in a row and if he had any other illness signs

A lot of birds like to take quick power naps throughout the day. I know exactly how they feel!

I swear, sometimes it feels like he can read my mind (and playing with it)
As I said, he's been very tired today. I was embroidering for a project for school and started to feel a bit concerned about Ebbe. Then he woke up, flew over and stole my embroidery scissors!
Often when I'm tired and wondering what the heck I've gotten myself into, living in a tiny apartment with a parrot, his toys and things laying EVERYWHERE, not to mention all the downy feathers and pieces of cardboard he loves to chew, he makes the cutest little noise that is completely irresistible and I just find myself looking like this https://i.imgur.com/2JFA72h.gif

haha we all feel like that from time to time

They know what we're thinking and they cannot allow us to be correct.

I love the way my birds make me feel. Just by watching them be themselves :)

I swear I make that same face when the cute factor suddenly hits 100% lol

from what you said, sounds like a healthy bird. They typically sleep a lot so I'd say 12 hours a night with daytime naps is not unusual
