Leg bands?

So my sister was in charge of ordering the leg bands for the babies and she just called and told me there was some problem with the order and their not going to be in before the birds hit two weeks old. How important is it for someone with accidental babies to have leg bands? Should i have her order some of them open so ill be able to put them on the older babies anyway? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What is your purpose for banding? Plan on breeding? Showing? if not i wouldn't worry. Most likely too old for closed bands anyway.10 days for me.

Ok thank you. For some reason i thought it was required. I don't plan on breeding again Didnt plan on it this time But they where apparently XD.
