I have a budgie, he loves playing with bells and watching me on the computer while i'm drawing. Always making sure to stop in for cuddles every couple seconds he is adorable. His name is tinker.
Tink is adjusting wonderfully he is even trained to the point of letting me pet him, he'll also let me take him out of his cage sometimes he'll come out on his own. I'm wanting to start to try to get him to talk i try repeating "I'm a pretty pretty birrrdy" to get him to copy me. he chatters to himself random happy blirping and chriping but nothing that's considered talking and i was wondering how to encourage this. He loves music, could i use music? or or other budgies?
Or should i keep the same pattern? i do also notice he gets way more chattery when i got music going. he's cute :)

My budgie Pearl can say “pretty bird”, “such a pretty bird”, “baby bird”, and I think I’ve heard her say “whatcha doin, pretty bird”. She can also copy my cockatiel Ducky and make kissing sounds. I think you should try to play videos of other budgies for Tink, as Pearl gets very talkative and chatters a lot when she hears other budgies. I would suggest playing YouTube videos of Disco, a talking green budgie who speaks very clearly and has a huge vocabulary.
