Lava stone

This is a difficult question to answer. Lava Stone tends to be a generic term that could define a number of different stones that are created from the cooling of Lava. The type of stones cover everything from those that float to very heavy dense stone.

Based on its use, it sounds like one of the very light variations that likely crumbs with ease. Some forms tend to easily compact and could just as easily cause an impaction.

Break a bit off and grind it and see how easy it is to compact. That is about the best I can provide you. Possible another member has experience with this specific toy and can better advise you.

Hi from the toys I have seen with lava stone the stones look more compact. Is it definitely Lava stone. If you see your IRN 'eating' it then just unpick the toy and remake with those parts.

Thanks for your replies.
I'm not sure, on their website it says it is lava stone. And the sad thing is there is no description of the materials used on the product's tag, it just says "parrot toy". I will monitor him and remove the toy if I notice him eating it.
