Cricket is going to a wonderful home where he will be loved and cared for on Saturday. His new guardian has no other birds and she is home all day. I am both happy to have found this person and sad that Cricket must go. He has 2 fairly serious head injuries from Rosie's beak. There is just no safe way to keep him here in such a small living space when his safey and life have been compromised so much.

I know this must be very hard to do, but you are doing the right thing for him (((hugs)))

I'm very sorry you have to give up Cricket, but it is the right and noble thing to do. I am glad you found a good new owner where he will be safe.

So sorry about Cricket. He will love his new mom too! His safety is very important & I'm glad you were able to find someone thats the right fit for him. If something happens will she contact you if she has to rehome him?

Big hugs to you! You are in my thoughts and prayers!

You & I have discussed this before, and you know that it is the right thing for Cricket. Thank you for putting Crickets safety above your own emotions. Maybe you can visit her from time to time. Her new mom works with you, so, you'll have constant updates. Be strong, and know that you are doing this for her. We all feel for you, and are always here for you.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes. If Hannah must re-home Cricket, yes she is to let me and the breeder know. She also has someone lined up as a godmother.

My heart goes out to you, Spiritbird. It's hard I am sure, taking this baby into your home and expecting it to be a forever home. You are doing well by Cricket and hopefully he's going to be close enough to visit from time to time I hope?

It must be very sad for you to see Crickett go but your doing whats right for him. Wish you the best!!!

I'm glad you were able to find him a home~ hopefully it's local so you can visit!

It must be very hard! :( But I hope that you are able to visit him all the time!

I can't imagine what your going through but sounds like you did the most loving thing you could for Cricket and made sure to find a wonderful home.

My hope is that it will become easier with time once you see for yourself how happy Cricket is in her new home.

This must be awfully hard, but the fact you know that he's going to a good home, must be reassuring..
