I'm on my way to pick up my TAG Ariel. It's gonna be a long day. I'll post pics as soon as I can.

So excited for you! Can't wait to hear all about her and see pictures! Great name, btw:)

Finally got everything and everyone set up, settled in, and settled down. It turns out the plucking is more extensive than I thought before. Hopefully more stimulation, attention, and better diet will help. He was on a primarily seed diet with some fruit and pellet mash. I'm a little worried about liver disease since this has been his diet for 11 years but he's tried some veggies at least. He is fully flighted and has made many rounds already. He is even potty trained.
He is also just as gentle as I was told. He would rather push your hand away than bite. I already upset him once and I couldn't even call what he did a bite. I watched as he was placed on his back and tossed in the air. He steps up with no problem for me. I can't pet him yet but I don't expect to. I've only heard a few beeps and whistles so far.
His former owners really loves him and were on the verge of tears when we left. They realized he needed to be in a different situation and I couldn't be happier that they chose me for Ariel.

He is so cute! I also hope his plucking will be solved very soon.

Ariel looks like such a sweetie. That's great that she'd rather push your hand away than bite! Sounds like a new good friend :)

African Greys' are awesome birds, you choose well
Ariel is too beautiful
Sure once she has settled the plucking will stop
Thanks for sharing the beautiful pics

Thank you everyone. Hopefully in a year or two I'll have some less fluffy pics to share. :)
