Kobe update

Some of you know kobe is a rescue orange winged zon that supposedly was a mans bird well guess what he has taken to my wife 2 weeks in she can rub his head he crys for her when she leaves the room and hes doin great vet checked tues healthy and happy vet was inmpressed we got such a healthy guy from a rescue ...Diet he loves eggs and hamburger, cauliflower and apples hes on zupreem natural pellets so his diet is diversified and complete he loves to set in the window and look out that's his day as long as wife is in the room when she leaves he yells for her!!!!!!! Not taliin to much yet says ut oh when he drops his toys but other than that hes not talkin much we talk to him all the time any ideas to help him talk more would be greatly appreciated ........

We rescued a "mans bird" DYH from a rescue and he took to me. Doesn't like hubby much at all. Sometimes there is no way of knowing why they pick someone.
We've had our guy about 7 months now and he is bonded to me.
Glad to hear he's doing well.

Yay! I was hoping for a Kobe update! Sounds like you all are getting along well. He might pick a favorite, but I bet he will come around and enjoy your company too. As for encouraging talking, I don't really have any advice for that. George has always talked on his own terms. Hopefully as Kobe gets more comfortable, he'll open up more. Also, he's older so he might be past the point of picking up new vocabulary, but I bet he already knows some stuff...he just doesn't feel like showing off yet.

That sounds great with your bird I have tried everthing with my birds and talking. {and it didnt work -DVDs and Cds] What I found is that when I really focased on building my good relationship with them. They started to talk .They talk the most when they want my attention

Good to hear that things are going well with Kobe. As he settles in and becomes more comfortable, he'll probably be more talkative. You can encourage him by talking to him a lot.
