"KISE" She was born in Jan, 2018.
"Akashi" He hatched 07/13/2021.

So.. I was outside with Kise. She was on my head, then she flew to the door to go in.. but the door was closed. She made a U turn and took off.

I have been looking for her for hours... It's dark and I know she is scare to death now... I don't know where she is now.. She won't survive out there...

There is nothing worst than this... My son dumped for his wife's family.. and now Kise gone.. I hope she will come to someone and they love her, take good care of her.

I really just want the jump off the freeway now...

PLEASE!!! ALL BIRDS' LOVERS.. PLEASE HELP ME AND PRAY FOR HER SAFETY and not be hungry.. PLEASE...

I am going to go back out there and keep calling her to see if she can hear me and come home...

Oh no, I’m so sorry... I really hope you find her. Kise is such a sweet bird. This is why you should never take a parrot, clipped or not, outside without a harness...

Don’t give up hope, keep looking, you WILL find her. It hasn’t been very long, correct? Make sure to post on Parrot 911 as well.

Have you posted to 911 Parrot Alert - the website and on Facebook? They are good at getting the word out so others are watching for your bird. Hopefully she will perch somewhere for tonight and you can get out early tomorrow morning to call her and hopefully she’ll come home. I’m so sorry Kise has flown away, and I pray you get her back.

Yes posting on Parrot911 is a great thing to do!

I’m so sorry this has happened HEEDLESS! Stay strong and don’t give up - I wish I was there to help you! I pray that she comes back to you!

I am crying my heart out right now. She has her microchip.. I don't know what good with the chip...

I can't think and can't do any but walking outside in the dark, calling for her and crying my heart out.

Nothing can' t be worst than this, every second I think about her getting hungry, my heart squeezzzzzzzeee... it's hurt.

I have no one, no family but her... what I am going to do......

Kise needs you to stay strong! Make sure you post on Parrot 911 as soon as you can, and if your neighbourhood has some kind of online bulletin board you could post there too. I know how hard this is because I’ve had a cockatiel and an Indian ringneck take fright and fly away on me and I was frantic with worry but I got them both back. Maybe even try an old-fashioned letter box drop with some leaflets, handwritten if necessary, that’s how I got my Indian ringneck back.

I wish I was there to help you look for her!

Oh and also let your vet and every other vet clinic in your area know too, in case someone brings Kise in to them!

I am so sorry to know Kise took flight. Please read the first few posts of this thread, it contains all of the critical first steps: http://www.parrotforums.com/lost-found/49129-bring-them-home-tips-locating-lost-bird.html

Daybreak will give you opportunities to search close to home. I believe female Ekkies typically stay close to the "nest" while males are long-distance foragers. If true of captive birds, might suggest she will stay fairly close.

oh no! Leave out her favorite stuff in a cage she is comfortable with (door open of course). If she is used to flying back into the house via the front door or whatever, put the cage by there. Maybe shes watching and scared but can muster up the courage to go into a cage with her favorite foods and toys. I lost a lovebird to an open door once and I never saw her again. I hope this is not the case for you!

My prayers, and everything positive coming your way. Don't try and search in the dark, she needs to stay roosted. First light you be there though. Warm hugs to you.

Where in US are you?? Kise you fly right to mommy at first light!!!!
I know your looking right now, we are with you in spirit, stay strong.

Lily, my heart feels like a stone. I am praying for you and Kise constantly and with all my strength and soul.

Oh no!!! I'm so sorry. Positive thoughts and prayers coming your way! As stated above, she's probably not far, so at morning light, go find her. I truly hope you get her back home safely. Be strong for her, and don't give up, no matter what.

Oh no!! So sorry for your loss! I hope you'll find her

I’m so sorry this happened. My thoughts are with you, hoping for the safe return of your sweet Kise.

I am so so sorry she is lost. Taking her food outside in a big dish may entice her to come back, where are you located??

That being said, I wonder what she was doing outside in the first place? Why was she not in a cage, or in a harness? What did you expect would happen when you took your flighted bird outside? I am confused about this.

Thanks everyone. I am not myself and have no sleep. This feeling of guilt is killing me. THE GUILT of careless, leaving her out there on the freezing cold, starving her till death. I am killing my Baby Kise. This feeling of guilt is going with me to my grave. I wish that I can just go to sleep and don’t wake up.

I am so very sorry to hear this! I'm praying that you are able to find her today.
I am also sorry for the guilt you are feeling. We have all done things that we wish we could change but the important thing is moving forward and learning. I can see how badly you feel, and no one should be trying to make you feel any worse.
You and Kise are in my prayers. I am so hoping to see a wonderful update today. If you post a general area where you are, there may be forum members close who could come help you search.

Find your bird first... despair later.

It was getting dark and its cold -> she will not have flown far.

Stay optimistic, keep your eyes open and your phone charged.
