Kind of a gross question... (bird masturbation)

Okay, this is really weird but I was wondering if when a male cockatiel masturbates, will he always produce “stuff”? Sorry lol. But my cockatiel who I assumed was male masturbated one time (I was blocking him from chewing on something and apparently was accidentally rubbing under his wing...) and well, nothing came out. So I’m curious if this means he’s actually a female or if this can happen with males. I’d assume if this was an accurate way to sex them it would be mentioned more often as a difference between males and females, but then again it’s a strange topic.

I never see stuff when my birds masterbate.
Most cockatiel you can tell sex, females have bars on the underside of the tail

Stuff??? They pretty much climb each other and rub vent rear area, is how they have sex. As stated above most female cockatiels have bars on the underside of the tail. They have to go through second molt to tell, when a baby you won't able able to tell till the second molt. Other way of course laying eggs, or DNA testing.
