hey guys!! so here's an update on keiko the lsc2 that i brought home about a month ago!! he has been progressing well and plucking has stopped(fingers crossed!). at least i haven't seen him pluck anymore~ he steps up and we've taught him some tricks in addition to stuff he already knows :D will need to upload a video of that soon! the only downside is that he seems to be the kind that bites without warning>< but that being said he has only got me once, and it wasn't thaaat serious compared to what i think his beak is capable of.

but here are some pics of the darlingggg^^

this is his progress so far for his back

glad that i had the encouragement of many here to bring this guy home and make a positive difference in his life!!^~^

He looks so happy,i am glad it worked out.
Trough it looks like you will be going in the woods at night to supply his wood. Lol

What progress! He's looking good :) Such a difference in that before and after pic

Please forgive me, I have a lousy memory, but is this the 'too who was fastened with a strange metal hoop to a bare metal pole outside a shop?

Yayyy Keiko :) Keep up the good work!

Lucy yeah thats him:)

This is great! I wish Folger would grow back feathers like that....

Thankyou Victoria, I have a rubbish memory for names.

In that case, Wow! Just, wow. The difference in his life is amazing. A home with more than one perch, chews, fruit, stimulation, love and nourishment. His back feathers are growing back quickly, so looks like you spotted and rescued him just in time.

This just makes me smile, the difference you have made for him :)

Fantastic, and well done xx

This is awesome to see!! Looks like in his particular case the plucking was directly related to the conditions he was kept in. Too bad not all pluckers stop when they're well cared for. I can't get over how genuinely HAPPY he looks on all of your photos :) I'm sure he can still hardly believe it. Thanks for the update!

What a great job you've been doing! He looks like he's smiling in the last picture. :)

another update!! its been around 5 months since he has been with us. everyday is a better day and he is definitely trusting more :) but the god-awful cockatoo screech is out now and boy! he's not afraid to use it :p but we're good with it, ignore when he screams for attention and only go back once he has stopped. gotta admit the 1st time i heard it i dropped everything and ran for him HAHA
