Hey that's pretty neat! How does she like it? Does she find the PVC a bit slick in places?

you can't see it but i put some gauze type tape on it...she seems to like it...i still need to cut the tops of the toy hook bolts off because she also likes to get up on the very top of it...it only cost $40 dollars and took about 45 minutes to build...i will probably add more to it later but it's nice to give her somewhere to sit when she is out of her cage. I also need to figure out something to put under it to catch the droppings lol

That is a nice play gym. You did a really good job. I love the poop ticket you got on the floor to catch the droppings (chucks??). Might want to put a weight on the middle. I used those large coffee cups no one uses anymore and they hold down the newspaper nice enough they don't go flying when Valentino takes off flapping. He can create some serious wind current with those long wings of his. He will be a nice fan in the summer. LOL.

Such a beautiful parrot standing on her new play gym.

You need to get vet wrap for the perches, it works great and is bird safe. Please make sure there are no adhesives on the tape you're using. :) Looks great!

where do you get vet wrap?

I get mine at the local feed store, it's available online as well.

Thanks for the link to the Vet wrap

that play stand looks great, parker's Mom. Well done. Although, what if she poops while not facing outward? Then the poop will land on the carpet instead of that piece of paper you put at the bottom.

LOL :D

I thought that was just part of having them :54:

You did a FANTASTIC job on that playstand!!! I LOVE IT!!! :D I now feel inspired. Sure, I've got the Java trees IN the house....but spring and summer are approaching (hopefully soon), and a stand like that would be really sweet outdoors. ;)

If you want me to wendy I can "build" one for you and just mail you the pieces so you can put it together when it gets there...just pay for the parts and shipping or I can just send you instructions on how to build one yourself...I just made this one up as I went... or if I find one I like at the bird show in april i'll give you this one for the $40 i paid for it
