It is hotter than Satan's left browhorn right now, with temps close to 90-100 degrees F (36-40C). Any ideas on how to help keep my birds cool? I have a fan going and it seems to help. TIA folks! :)

Fans, shade, maybe keep a bathing dish of water on the bottom of the cage in case he wants to take a dip and cool off? Like drinking water though, make sure it's changed and the dish washed regularly. Bacteria slime seems to appear a lot more quickly with higher temperatures.

You can also offer your birds ice water.
some birds like playing with and crunching on ice.
mist bath will help too.

The good news is excessive heat symptoms are easy to spot in birds.
Panting and holding wings away from body.

I live in the high desert of Ca. And it gets over 100 F frequently. I worry more about cold temps than hot.

When it’s over 100 F our evaporative cooler can only do so much. Inside temp ends up peaking at about 79 F. Not really comfortable but you can stand it (the alternative is compressor type air conditioning that wound make my electrical bill astronomical).
