Keeping bird warm in colder months

Hey guys, so it’s starting to get chilly out and I was wondering what everyone used to supplement a heat source for these in between seasons …I have steam heat and my landlord doesn’t turn it on for a few more weeks

O have a sweeter heater, its sold on Amazon, the smallest size is more then enough abd I have to set back from cage about 6 inches.

I use one of those flat, sheet type reptile heaters under the papers in Saltys cage, mostly for night time warmth. It only covers 1/3 of the bottom of his cage, so he has a cooler side and a warmer side and he can roost where ever he is comfortable. When his cage is covered at night time it keeps him warmer than the rest of the house. And, very important, he leaves it and the electrical cord for it alone, but thats just him. Some parrots find electrical cords to be irresistible for chewing.
