I just got the lorikeet bird and I don't know whether its male or female , I also want you guys to suggest name according to gender, I am trying to setup cctv camera so I can see my parrot live and talk to her from anywhere in the world. as I am business traveler so i need to travel for it , your suggestions will be really appreciated.

What species of lorikeet is it? Most parrots are not sexually dimorphic meaning they can’t be sexed visually .
Also a picture would help 😊

Oh I was asking @LaManuka
She is experienced with lorikeets.
You may have to wait a little but for her to respond.
How long have you had this bird?

oh ok sorry for that , I just got it from my friend yesterday. he bought it from market but seller also don't know the gender ;)

I just looked up pictures and it appears to be a beautiful Red-collared Lorikeet! It has a orangy band around the nape of its neck and that's the identifying feature according to the internet. Genders look the same.

According to Wikipedia, it feeds on the flowers of the Darwin woolybutt! I hope that's not all they eat!

Looks like you have a red-collared lorikeet there. Unfortunately it's not possible to tell the difference between genders visually, so you will need to have it done by a vet via a blood test. That's how mine have always been done :)
