Hello all,
I'm an animal lover who just got my first parrot. I'm in love with him!! I have a beautiful 7 year old male Eclectus parrot who was very much loved in his former home. Their schedule did not allow them to spend the time they wanted with him so I adopted him. I'm at home all the time since I'm retired and disabled.
My other family members are: 6 Chihuahuas (Muffin, Buttercup, Jasmine, Chico, Ariel and Sable), 1 mini dachshund (Maggie), 1 min pin (Rhett), 1 white homing pigeon (Blessing) and now my Eclectus parrot Samson. I also have a fantastic husband Jeff who loves animals as much as I do thank goodness. We are 60 and 62 but just had our 9th anniversary last month.
I attend school online working on a doctorate in Organizational Leadership. I am a recent amputee learning to walk on a prosthetic leg (which has a picture of my Chihuahua Chico on it). That's my first tattoo.
I researched a lot of parrots and am delighted that I was able to get a male Eclectus. Now I just need to know as much as I can to keep him happy and healthy. He has a great vocabulary and potties on a newspaper.
