Just bought a 2 year old blue front amazon

So, you purchased a 2 year old BF Amazon from a Pet Store and they followed the Law and provided you a detailed 'Bill of Sale' that included their Warranty and Return policy, plus since you have purchased an Amazon, they included a Hatch Certificate that included the Name, Address and phone number of The Breeder, the Species of each Parent, the date your Amazon was Hatched, the date weaned and its DNA Sex Certificate as REQUIRED by international Law in which North American Countries support: CITES requirements for Endanger Species! All Amazons three and 3/4 years old must have a CITES Hatch Certificate that includes the information above and each additional owners information Between The Breeder and You!

It is common that most Warranties require that you have your Parrot 'New Parrot' Examination with a Avian Medical Professional with in two weeks of Purchase. For the 'safe health' of your Parrot, you should want this to occur, regardless of what is required by the seller.

NOTE: The Hatch Certificate and the other supplied documentation should be provided to your Avian Clinic, to be copied, to be part of your Amazon's Medical File! This will allow you to have a safe copy in which Law Enforcement can verify that your Parrot is yours and that it is not a Black Market Parrot.

Amazon's are expensive and are commonly targeted for illegal resale. To Assure that your Amazon can be traced back to you, I strongly recommend that you have your Amazon Microchipped. In todays World, a Microchip is one of the two legally excepted proof of ownership. The other method is no longer provided.

Visit your Seller ASAP, if you do not have a complete Document Set! If you do not have a complete set, your Parrot can be considered a Black Market Parrot.

NOTE: Very Young Amazons, sometimes do not include a DNA Sex Test.

Great, please plan to take the document set to your Avian Clinic so they can create a file for your Amazon in make copies of the document set for the file.

You will find this very helpful at some point in the future...
