Jupiter's first few hours

Jupiter arrived via a long plane ride from AZ this afternoon. He seemed pretty timid at first when I peeked in his crate to greet him, so I hurried home anxious to let him out. He'd been in his crate for several hours. When I sat his crate down and calmly opened the door, talking gently, I was surprised that he immediately climbed out, sat on top of the crate, and looked at me with his big brown eyes as if to say, hold me.

He is the most gentle and loving bird I have ever met. We sat on the coch together and he ultimately fell asleep on my chest. He doesn't mind being touched or pet anywhere....under his wings is a favorite of mine

I've introduced him to his cage and he's even eaten some! He's happily preening away at his mess of bent and crooked tailfeathers. I couldn't be happier with my choice of bird or breeder.

Your going to LOVE Macaws !!! What a sweet baby [glad things went well]. I just had my baby RB2 shipped [and it wasn't as hard as I thought]. You were able to get a male ? I know you posted about thinking you were getting a female [and was worried] .Anyways congrats.

Thank you guys! We just spent some more time laying together on the couch. He'd be content to sleep with me all night! Pinky the sibling ended up being a male so I chose him. Worked out perfect!

Beautiful Bird!! Our Greenwing is the same with petting. He will sit in your lap for hours and want his head scratched. He also loves being scratched under his "wing pits" Lol..
