She's baaaaaaack!
HRH Crown Princess Lilly Pilly has regathered herself and has chosen to bestow Her glorious magnanimous beneficence upon those who so terribly disappointed Her last month (i.e. me!), and after giving me a thorough buttfeathering for my incompetence, She has authorised me to release this Official Portrait for the June comp.
Looks like Her Maj has some pretty stiff competition again this month, but here goes nuthin' ...
(and just get a load of those cute little feets!!)

Well Debbie, if you want a birdie who is as badly behaved as she is beautiful, then a purple crown might indeed be for you! Of course the lousy behaviour is entirely my fault for letting her get away with absolutely everything!

Yup, big birds really do like shirt cuddles. However, they tend to either assure that the photo device is not available or both hands of the staff person are busy assuring the stability of the position.

You only ever see conures and small parrots in shirts. Kiwi would like to correct that misconception:07: Big birds like cuddling in shirts too!!!
Awww, Kiwi looks like a great cuddler! I'm going to show this to my big guys in hopes they learn how to cuddle like a Professional

That is so cute! I make my birds toys too, they are just so expensive these days (I have a macaw so big toys cost at least $50 each). I also use straws in the toys, plastic and paper ones.

She strung straws and the little wicker balls all over my room, and we figured out she loves a good gentle game of tug-of-war. My stomach still hurts from the laughter she brought on last night!

With 10 birds total I might as well be buying toys for two macaws! You are right, insanely priced toys are all that's available, next project is probably going to be a perch stand/ playground for them, ours is far too small for the cockatiels, but they try anyway.
