Celebrate the Fact That July is...

"NATIONAL PICNIC MONTH"!
Show us photos of your darling(s) enjoying edible goodies WHILE THEY ARE OUTSIDE THEIR REGULAR CAGES! Or inside --- as long as they're
"picnicking"
in spirit!

The Winner will receive a FREE one (1) year Premium Membership, and the winning photo will be on the Forum's Homepage for the month of August.

As always, please keep safety in mind: no predatory risks, no scary stuff, no hazards. We want to model safe, responsible parronthood!

And--- only one entry per member, although we love unlimited "just for fun" entries.

Your entries will be accepted from today, July 1st, through July 28th. On the 29th, a 3 day poll will be started to determine the winner, to be announced on August 1.

Please submit a photo --- with or wthout a caption. Please, no videos --- no Photoshopping --- or similar.

Here's an example --- a Rickeybird picnic!

What a lovely idea :)! Birds, owners and cameras on your marks :D cant wait to see the entries!

Great idea for a POTM Contest!

That said, it maybe a good idea not to advertise the location of your photo shoot until after the fun and food is completed as some uninvited guest may arrive looking to pare take.

Looking forward to photos of your gathering!

Great idea for a POTM theme, my friend! Looking forward to all the inspired entries that will be submitted.

Great theme, Gail! Looking forward to yet another month of fantastic entries!

What a tasty idea, Gail! A picnic is something we can sink our teeth and beaks into!! Can't wait to see the scrumptious entries.

So far... a chile picnic, a millet picnic, and a cherry picnic!
July is off to a great veggie/grain/fruit start!

Chile, millet, cherry and now an apple into the mix! Funnily enough, this picture of Boomer was taken during an actual picnic. I love how he relishes the bite :D

Quite the vise-grip she has on that cherry! Making sure you don't get any ill-conceived ideas about making her share. Lol!

Sun conures representing hard this month with a one-two combo! I LOVE this pic and the absolute ecstasy in his half-closed eyes as he eats the apple!

Check out that spread! Bumble must be in Heaven! And there's a definite artistic flair to the food placement, like you might find in the higher end restaurants. Y'all keep it fancy over at Chez Inger, eh?
