The theme for July's POTM contest is "Workin' 9-5"

We know that some of the your birds "work for peanuts". Some birds are office assistants, job supervisors, construction workers, fashion models, and more... Use your imagination!

Show us what your bird does for a living! :)

Gracie is our companies C.P.A (Certified Parrot Accountant). She is working hard toward becoming C.P.O (Chief Parrot Officer).

Since working here she has reduced our shredding company visits by 25% - she prefers taking the beak-on approach & personally handles all shredding. She also sorts the mail everyday & deposits the mangled junk mail in the shredding bin.

She also implemented a new "Stamping Procedure" - anyone that passes thru my office must have all paperwork "Stamped" with her official Beak of Approval Seal. I am wondering how I'll explain the puncture holes in the corner of all of the paperwork @ our next audit lol

Gracie does think she's with her local Parrot Union so she only works about 15 minutes a day & the rest is her "break time" which she likes to spend outside, on her play stand or sitting up on my computer monitor snacking & playing a.k.a destroying her toys.

I'm so glad the owner of the company is an E.O.E in the broadest sense lol

So looking forward to seeing pics of other hard workers :)

Haha GraciesMom, that had me cracking up! Sounds like Gracie is very efficient in what she does. Work only 15 minutes a day? I think I like that idea :)

Wow Gracie deserves a raise for all that work...obviously Gracie is a very competent lady without whom all the work at your office would come to a stand still ...Way to Go Gracie you are doing a Wonderful job...Love the pic its Fab with her cheeky confident look and stance... :)

lol I know it's crazy that she's pulling 15 minute days - but something about Parrot Labor Laws - she's salary so whatcha gonna do?

"cheeky confident" that PERFECTLY describes her !! As you can see she "owns" my calculator & loves to beak bang the buttons. The funniest thing she does tho is she's a pen thief... well I was so worried about her biting into the ink portion that I put decoys on my desk & keyboard. One day my boss goes to grab a pen -- doesn't work -- grabs another --- doesn't work -- another -- no go. He sends me an email that says " I would have left you a note but apparently none of your pens work - can you order some on Monday" LOL i had to explain that the "innards" are kept in my top desk drawer.

Gizmo loves a shower, so although he isn't a qualified plumber, he is pretty sure he can get the water flowing

Of cause a good plumber wouldn't leave before testing that everything is running properly

Cheers,

Cameron

(First photo is the entry, second one is just to show he is a successful plumber:p)

Kelly, I would love to hire Gracie as my CPA!

Cameron, could Gizmo stop by to fix a leak for me?

Y'all's pictures are fabulous!!

Lol Cameron those photos crack me up. So awesome and such a good plumber Gizmo is!!

Sure thing Terry she works for walnuts lol

Thanks Kelly. Gracie looks gorgeous in the photo (Gizmo would be pulling the buttons off the calculator or eating the pen, he is definitely more suited to a Blue Collar Job :D). If I hired Gracie, could she tell me how much money I have spent on my pets this year:eek: (would I want to know:D)

Gizmo doesn't really do stopping water from flowing, only making water flow, if he was in the wild he would definitely be waiting for the wet season:D

Sure you don't want to make the second one the entry? Both are great pics, but that second shot is phenomenal!

Stephen,

I saw this and though, now I don't know which photo to use...lol. As a well trained parront, I knew it was ultimately Gizmo or Pebbles decision:D.

So I threw 2 numbers into the glass cup I use for their peas and asked them to draw a number out.

[ame="https://youtu.be/ccfAYRHYXUc"]Pick a number - YouTube[/ame]

I thought Pebbles might draw the number, but Gizmo being Gizmo decided he should get what's in the glass jar first:rolleyes:. So he picked the number 2 for the second image, so it's decided. I should change the entry photo to photo number 2.

Gizmo didn't seem too excited about the result, but I think all he was really thinking was "why are there no peas in the jar.....where are my peas....give me some peas":D.

The second pic is an amazing pic though I do love the first one too as it speaks volumes about Gizmos character...good choice of pic Gizmo :) Best of Luck in the Comp. :)

And here he is "helping" himself after "helping:
