It is long, so scroll down to the part about how age affects macaw physical features... Interesting! It seems that this author says the once reproductive age is over then cataracts begin. I find it tough to believe that all old macaws will be blind.... But that's what she cites through her research. Hmmm,

I just read that part...if I was still alive and kicking when Willie turns 35-40 I can see if her theory is right or wrong....still got a long ways to go, even longer for Lola since she's only 4.....
 
Dr. Club is my vet, she is very good. I've been taking Auggie to her for about 3 years now. If any of you live anywhere near Loxahathee Fl I highly recommend her. Also her prices are very reasonable. Oh, in case you haven't opened the article she's the one who wrote it.
