JJ, my beloved BFA died in my arms on Thanksgiving day.

You were such a ham, you loved me and mommy unconditionally and we love you the same way. It is very hard not hearing good morning, how are you or you calling my name if I'm out of your sight for a minute too long. You brought joy to our home and will be forever loved. Fly Free my JJ, fly free...Mommy and daddy love you! :green:

I can understand your pain because yesterday only i lost my bunny..!

I lost my 38 year old BFA a few years back. She died on my shoulder pressing her face against my cheek. That was the most loving, and most bonded parrot I ever had... and funny!

So, I know how much this hurts...

Fly free little bird!

I am so sorry for you. They are such amazing little babies. I know how sad you are. So sorry.

I am so sorry for your loss:(

So sorry for your family's loss :(

So sorry for your loss of JJ.....It brings tears to my eyes every time I think about all the babies that I've had that passed.....They will never be forgotten.....Fly free JJ!!!!

Take some comfort that JJ died in your loving arms, and not alone at the bottom of a cage. I truly am sorry for your loss.

Thanks all for the kind words. I have been a bird owner (a Daddy more than an owner) for many years. I only found this awesome place by searching the internet for the most appropriate way to handle JJ's passing. My wife and I felt a cremation was the best and most respectful way to handle his final remains, he is after all, a part of our family..... JJ was cremated on Nov 29, 2013 and he now rests in peace on our fireplace mantle looking down over us. Again Thanks All for your kind words...

How old was JJ and did you have a necropsy done for the cause of death?
