So, I've had Jenga for about 4 months now. We've made a ton of progress! However, that being said, we have a lot to go. She is still very very quiet - she only talks or makes noise when she's frightened. She doesn't let me pet her and she only steps up for me when she feels its convenient for her. However, last night she did this head jerking thing and then popped out some pellet and eggs shells from her dinner.

I don't believe it was puking as it was non-violent and intentional so I think she was regurgitating, though she did do it a few times. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is like a sign of true love, am I right? I didn't even think she liked me! Maybe she likes me more than I think?

Has anyone had a bird who wasn't a fan of them regurgitate for them?

Could have been getting rid of the eggshells or could have eaten too much?

Our two love a rough up but don't know when to stop. Quite often they have eaten just before playing and all the flying around/ acting like idiots makes them puke. It often looks like regurgitation, the will sit there quietly after having too much fun and a minute or so later the head bobbing/puking begins (sometimes head flicking, sometimes not). It is only ever a small amount.

You don't necessarily want her regurgitating for you as that is mated pair behaviour, It is best to avoid this kind of relationship with your bird.

If she was bobbing her head up & down it was affection. If it was side to side in a whipping motion then she's sick. So maybe she's more a fan than you think :) if she's bonded with someone else in the home, then she's just "cheating" a little bit haha!
