I have a java tree and some of the branches are too large. I want to wrap them. What types of materials can I use? I know I can use bird safe rope, can I use sports tape? Any other ideas?

I have a Sun and a Quaker that use this stand.

My green cheeks have their own smaller stand.

Thanks

Vet wrap is great. If you happen to have a tractor store near you, you can find it in about 60 different colors..

How does wrapping a too-large branch help things? I thought wrapping rope around a too-small branch would make it larger.

The rope (even thought it would make the branch thicker) would be very easy for the parrots to have something to grip. It's probably the best option actually. It would really fit a Sun and Quaker's feet.

I used sisal rope and it's made all the difference. They now use the entire stand not just the small branches.
