Jade been sick

Hello here an update on Jade, he is been with me almost a year now!

About 2 months ago he became very noisy and loud, well this behaviour started when going out on the balcony as he hears all kind of crazy noises in the street he will become very excited and loud.

I then move him into another room next to my bedroom and ever since he became a nice not noisy bird.

Any way 4 days back i notice he was absolutely quiet not a single noise at all, I also nodest he was sleeping during day time a lot, well he was definitely sick!

I immediately move him into the bathroom and install an electric heater.

The fact is that the weather here in south of china has change, we were all the time around 30 centigrades minimum 26 during night and now we are 22 and some times minimum 10, so i assume he catched a cold, useless to see a doctor they are not use to parrots so is waste of time

Well the bathroom trick is doing his good effect, after 4 days in there. he is now starting to chat and stop sleeping all the time

I hope he is healing by him self, i been hand feeding him seeds veggies in small pieces one by one on an on to make sure he is eating enough

Today i can said he is on the right direction of healing, even do i know he can get worse very fast so finger cross for him

I am leaving him and China in about 4 days from now for my Christmas holidays in Thailand and be back on the 7 of January

The house boy will take care of him so hope it all be alright

Btw he now talks few words like NI HAO and Hello and knows how to whistle a song

I hope the heat is enough to get Jade past his sickness, solrac. Is there no avian vet you could get to in your area? Some illnesses are too stubborn to be beaten back without antibiotics or some other form of treatment.

Perhaps Jade wasn't really sick, and just was a little sluggish from being colder than he likes? Good to hear he is acting normal once again .

Is Jade eating normally now again? Please give detailed instructions to your house keeper for when you're gone. Enjoy your holiday!

Glad to hear he's doing better!

I'm sure it's fine because you've already been doing it for a few days, but just make sure your heater doesn't have any teflon. I'm super paranoid about heaters.
