Yay! Crongrats! I hope you two have a great life with lots of fun.

Oh, I'm so glad to hear! Greys do make some really cute sounds when they are cuddled up with you. And wait until it starts talking and mimicking other sounds, lol! Beware though that anything they hear is fair game! That includes your fire alarms or anything from the TV. I was watching House this afternoon with Merlin, and there was some kind of medical equipment beeping on the show and she got all excited and stood up to listen. I won't be surprised if I hear her doing it anytime now as she loves ringing bells and beeps.

LOL you got sucked in didn't you.:D Why do you think i enjoy feeding baby parrots so much. They do just the most amazing things. It truly is a rewarding experience.

Seeing all these baby CAG makes me clucky for one of my own as well.

Congrats!!! Are you going to keep a scrapbook :)
I regret not taking tons of baby pics of Luna. She has the big girl eyes now :( They grow so fast.

Congrats again

Thank you everyone!!! We are so excited, it is going to be a long 6 weeks. We will find out the sex soon, and the breeder is so close we can go everyday. Plus, we have plenty of time to work more with Clifford. I'm just so excited! Can't wait to take more pics. I'll take pics of all the other birdies too. You should see the 4 week old blue and gold babies....precious.

The breeders grey imitates a cage door opening. He also copies all the other birds, when one says hello, he repeats it. Sometimes, you walk into the pet store and all you hear for 10 minutes is, "hello, hello, hello, hello" so funny.

Merlin isn't much of a talker but she has at least 25 imitations she does. Some I can't figure out what they are, or they are nonsensical. She likes funny sounds like if you go, "Arr rrr rrr" and things like that. So she has a bunch of what I call "monster sounds". She also likes Pete's made up amazon language that sounds like, "A bah bah" and "a bear bear". She's learned his, "Whoo!", too. And she does at least 10 whistles including some really long, pretty songs. And wild bird calls, video game sounds, 2 different microwaves, the fire alarm, an ambulance, belches and farts:p, the cat throwing up:rolleyes:, squeaky car brakes and probably some I can't think of right now. I have learned though she will talk if you say it in a funny voice. Regular voices don't interest her much.

Yes, keep a scrap book. I, too, regret not taking pictures of my Blue Crown each week when I visited her at the breeder's.

Congrats on the new baby! So far it's been a funny ride and I'm sort of betting the first thing Jasper imitates is Charlie whining..lol Right now the neighbors probably think I am the one with the new puppy because especially while waiting for breakfast he makes these puppy-like noises.

The waiting is difficult but it's great that you can go everyday. I had to wait about that long but it did pass. A scrapbook is a great idea and I have actually started a diary of sorts. He's probably going to outlive me and it's something that can go with him and by then give his new caregiver a little insight to fav foods, toys, etc.

I know how excited you are but don't forget to take pictures!

Jasper might whine. Pete does, and he barks as well. And now Merlin barks, too. I don't even have a dog anymore, but the neighbors probably think I do again.

It's like this whiney whimpering sort of cry..he does it in the morning while I am making his breakfast and now and then when he's wound up and I leave the room.

I got myself a new webcam yesterday and it takes motion videos. I'll have to try to set it up and see if I can catch him doing it.
