Hello everyone,
Its been a while since I posted on here (life kinda got a bit crazy :) )
But anyway, an update on what's happened, I guess... :D
Unfortunately I had to find a new home for my Eclectus, Solomon :( (he started biting my brother, which was entirely my brother's own fault  )
Also my male IRN passed away :( (neighbours chucked poison ivy on top of my aviary) my Willow now lives with 9 other IRN in a 16m avairy :D . The baby IRN I have, is now named Jasper (Little Bird), has been DNA sexed a boy :)
I also passed my first Animal Studies course, and am studying the next course on my way to becoming an Avian Vet :D

Nice to hear an update :). I'm so sorry about your loss, that is terrible. Your new little boy is absolutely precious!

Congrats on passing your course :D. Qualified avian vets are needed everywhere. We need more worldwide. Best of luck with that!

Awesome news on your vet training!

It's so hard to lose your loved ones, especially in close succession. I hope your new baby is helping you heal. He sure is cute :)

I'm very sorry you lost your IRN, in a terribly cruel manner.

Congratulations on your career path, you should find it very rewarding.

Welcome back, looking forward to continued happy updates!

Thank you everyone :)
I also got a breeding pair of 28 Parrots (I'll upload photo's later)

I had to read that twice lol. Not 28 pairs, but 28's... Then it made sense as I see you're in Australia. I think those are the same as Port Lincoln parakeets?

Very similar. The 28 Parrot has a red line of feathers just above the beak, and Port Lincoln Parrots require a licence while 28's don't...
Also are you only allowed to upload a certian amount of photo's? Cause it won't let me upload any?

I just googled that they are subspecies.

Honestly, we recommend people sign up for a free Photobucket account and upload pics that way. It's so easy. Pics don't come out sideways, etc. I forgot how many it lets you upload here, but if I recall, it's a reasonable amount. Still, if you're not able to for whatever reason, try Photobucket :).

There is a limit to how many you can upload and that limit is very small if you're not a supporting member. My suggestion is to use Photobucket or other photo hosting service. They have an app as well and after you upload your photos, there will be a text box to the right with a forum link (begins with

Your pair is really beautiful. I love so many of your native Australian parakeet species.

Here is a link about Supporting Membership. http://www.parrotforums.com/announc...-com-supporting-membership-now-available.html

Also, since you posted your pics from Photobucket with a url, I thought I'd mention... At the point where you copy the url off of Photobucket, it should give you several choices. The choice called IMG pastes the photos directly onto the forum. Hope that helps. Let me know if that doesn't make sense.

Hello and welcome back! Congratulations on passing your first course! :D

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. :( Also sorry to hear you had to give up your Eclectus.

You new baby is a cutie! :D Look forward to hearing more about your flock! ;)
