I've been searching for a young, adult Macaw to have as my companion for what seems like ages. Even though Texas is a BIG state, it's a black hole for Macaws, apparently. Adult macaws in good condition are hard to come by.
I just want to find one to adopt to be my lifelong companion. I'm even willing to travel for the right bird. I'm hoping to find one who likes women, is good with being in the presence of other birds (I have two Lovebirds), and enjoys being affectionate, playful, and silly.
I work from home so I'm literally home most of the time. I have plenty of time to give, love to give, and the means to have one. I plan to have an aviary built outside in the backyard with a large walk-in cage indoors and a big tree where he/she would spend most of his/her time.
