OK, so we have officially decided to go for it. I still need to talk to the owner and iron out the details but chances are on Friday or Saturday we will bring our Gabby home!

What is "OH HAIL NO!" body language?

I think that parrots definitely can take an instant liking or disliking to people - but that's not to say that it can't change!

When I brought home my baby TAG (I think she was around 15 weeks?), she took an instant dislike to my roommate. We're both female, similar height, etc, but for some reason Sachi just did not want anything to do with my roommate. With that said, over time, she did come to tolerate her, although she never became a cuddle bug with her or anything.

If you have the time and patience, I think that any bird can be won over to the point that you can have a good relationship. Be prepared that it may not turn out to be exactly how you envision it, though - I had dreams that my TAG would be a cuddle monster and she really didn't turn out to be, even with me, her favorite person. I think it's great that you've decided to go for it and let us know how it turns out!

If this were a cat, I'd say forget it.. :)

Why? XD

I think you should go and see. Or you could see some greys closer to you and see if they pick you?

Just saw your most recent post. Bet you cant wait to see your bird!
