hay guys I would just like to know if this myth is true or false here it is.... you can only teach a ringneck to talk at age 6-8months if it was not taught then it will never speak! is this true or false?

I would have to say that's false even though I've never owned a IRN. The pair of conures I got were breeders and they were 3-5 years old. One of them was fairly easy to tame and started to talk for us at a older age. To me they can learn to talk at any age just depends on if they want to or not. On the pair of conures, even though I was able to tame one, the other one I was never able to tame down as long as they were housed together. The other untamable one never did speak.

false! any bird with speech capabilities can learn to talk at any age

i got my first alexandrine at the age of 18months, and she picked up quite a few words. i never tryed to teach her
