Birds usually have their own vocalizations they make up sometimes haha!
I wouldn't worry too much about it

My boy Maddox does this too. I noticed he started vocalizing while I was watching a documentary about primates which had background noises of birds. He went bananas and started squawking which I found hilarious. He also sings along when I have music playing. I really don't think it indicates a problem just as long as your conure doesn't seem afraid or hides when he starts vocalizing. Conures will vocalize for a number of reasons, some times it just seems like they enjoy the sound of their own voice. My best advice is just to watch him just to make sure he isn't displaying signs of stress but usually making some noises is a good sign.
