Is this considered mating behaviour?

May I just say your birds are beautiful. I never saw a cherry head conure before. Beautiful bird. Sorry for your loss. They are all little beauties.

Is it doing it when you hold him? My U2 was doing that at the vets office one day. I have a little girl. She lifts her wings constantly to have me rub or tickle her body underneath. The vet said uhh you better not do that. She is asking you do stimulate her ovaries. Ohhhhh that's why sometimes she pants and makes a weird noise! I said. The vet also for males their gonads are there too. So everyone could be right you could have a beggerhead to be picked up or rubbed lol.

Actually Olly is a relatively new addition to our household and does not yet let us touch him or hold him. He's certainly getting more confident every day though!

We do think it's 'begging' behaviour, he wants to have human interaction and he's very curious but just not too sure about his new humans..

I think this might have been posted in the wrong place maybe? >_<

MissJD, I believe the cherry head comment is towards me, since I used to own one and my avatar is of a cherry head as well. (although not mine, this is of a CHC from the wild flock in SF)

Minamommy, thank you. :)
