Is there anything cuter than a bathing birdy? :)

Percy had big fun during his shower today! Just look at that face - singing under the shower ;) My son took the pic from behind me, forgive the poor quality ;)

Cute :). My amazon just sits there with his eyes closed during shower time. He does do cute things like that

I've tried giving Zack 'showers' from a spray bottle. Half the time he spreads his wings and enjoys it, the other half he starts moving away from me so I stop. When he does let me he seems to want to stay there and let me spray as long as I want.

He's an awesome boy! Nope, nothing better then a wet, squeaky-clean parrot! :) is he super snugly and wanting lots of scratches as he's drying? Or is he like "get away from me" ? Lol

He's more "get away from me and keep bringing more water". Once he's done with his shower, he goes into his cage to complete his ablutions in his water bowl. He splashes like mad and shouts when the waterbowl gets too empty for his liking. I've tried all kinds of other, bigger bowls for him to bath in but he shuns every single one LOL!

That picture is adorable. He looks so happy.

Sheer Amazon bliss! :D LOVE the photo! What a happy Percy. And look at his eyes, I dont' think he can get any more excited. :D

I thought it was a good picture!, he looks like he's in his glory.

My birds will not bathe in a bowl. What I do is let them stand on the shower curtain rod and spray them with warm water from a squirt bottle. They seem to like that. As soon as I return them to their cages, they dive into their water bowl and make a mess on the kitchen floor. LOL:rainbow1:

That's a very cute picture of Percy... such a character!!

Shortly after we brought home our first lory, he decided to take his first bath when I was brushing my teeth at the bathroom sink. He just hopped in the sink and did his bathing! The water was everywhere, the mirror all splattered. We were happily watching him have his fun, he was so comical. (This was a lory we had many years ago)

The next time he hopped in the bathroom sink to bathe, we pulled him out and put him in the bathtub. That worked out MUCH better! He had more room to splash around and the water mess was where it should be. After that, he always hopped in the bathtub on his own and shouted at us to run the water.

So when we got Sweet Pea, we immediately put her in the tub to take her baths. She will yell "READY!!" when she's done. And she preens her feathers dry with orange peel... we cut an orange in half, and put it on a metal skewer for her. She's saying "yum yum" the whole time she's preening. :)

I'd love to see a video of Sweet Pea doing that. Sounds so cute. I'd love to see videos of Percy.

I'd just love to see videos of everybody. :D

Good idea! That's one video I don't have of her... I will take a video of her the next time she has a bath. Our first lory bathed every single day and preened with bark. Sweet Pea bathes a couple times a week. :red1:
