Is news paper as bedding good?

Is newspaper a good bedding for Bobby's cage? ( I just put pieces on the floor of his cage so that he doesn’t poop on the cage itself) I’m only concerned because he seems to love chewing on it.

Good old fashioned black and white newspaper is OK. Colored papers or advertising is not due to the unknown composition of the colored inks, especially if he is a chewer!
