I notice site was down for a while, but notice all threads and post today are gone?

Confirmed from my personal experience - it took a dump. It was down for a few hours on my side. Then I came to see everything in the past 24-ish hours gone. Oh well! C'est la vie sur internet :/

I'll send a message to Admin to see if it can be restored.

Yep, I couldn't get on for a couple of hours & now I can't find a post I wrote this morning & a thread I wanted to respond to.
That's a first since I've been a member.

the gremlins are at work

oof this happened to a site i use to use a looong time ago. There was a hurricane or something and the servers went down before saving a bunch of data and if I remember correctly they weren't able to restore it :/

there was a video on avian breathing I wanted to watch. Cuz I am at work it was blocked.

Now it's deleted and I won't be able to watch it when I get home.

Here’s the link that CharmedbyEkkie posted - it was still in my YouTube list because I watched it earlier today [ame="https://youtu.be/kWMmyVu1ueY"]The Avian Respiratory System - YouTube[/ame]

Don't worry - I'll recreate the thread for posterity, but Jen's got you covered. Thanks, Jen! :)

Goshdarn it, this outage has erased some of my finest work! Comedy gold on “Banned”, stuff about attacking magpies and bird poop and hyperactive lorikeets, all disappeared into a cyberspace black hole, if there even is such a thing... oh well never mind, it was all just a product of my diseased imagination anyway;)

No it wasnt!
(and your imagination may be a lot of things, diseased is so not one of them :) )

But I hope they will be able to recover the missing bits...

In the meantime: Sunny is 11 today, but no owl or letter from Hogwarts yet....
(but it is still a bit early for owls, the sun shining brightly etc.)

See, it even swallowed up the news about Sunny’s birthday!! Happy birthday Sunny you precious bundle of feathery joy, I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful day!

As a recommendation, it will be better if we assume that the 'Hal Event' has resulted in the loss of 'all data' between the time of the crash and back to the safe restart point. If our Admin group is able to recover some or all of the data that will be great. But for now, we really should proceed based on it being gone.
We have loss wonderful works, but still have an operational Parrot Forums to move forward. A Thank you to each of you for what you have done and will be doing to carry us into the future.

Best regards, Your Mod Team.
