is he SICK??!

I just read this post:rolleyes:
like mentioned before, it sounds like he's inhaled the spray you used and is have a toxic reaction to it. rubbing his beak on the bar is his way of trying to remove the irritant.

stretching his neck is a birds way of clearing out their crop, but in this case with him being irritated, he's doing what is natural to make him feel better.

the watery poop is a way for them to flush out the toxins.

I'm not sure what you can do for him, it must be incredibly frustrating and upsetting:confused::(

I do know papaya settles stomach issues, if you have some in your country you could try that, and see if he eats it, maybe you can mash it and warm it up for him?

Cassiepengo, I know you're scared and stressed out, but please try not to panic. I know that's hard when a little animal that you love so much might be sick. But animals can sense your emotions and if you panic, Bamboo might pick up on that and it could make him edgy or scared. Most likely, he needs to see a vet, but in the mean time the best thing you can do is keep him warm and calm. I've always heard and read that if a pet bird is sick, one of the best things to do is keep them warm (but not too hot). Put a lamp by his cage with a low wattage incandescent light bulb so that the heat from the bulb will warm his cage. But again, don't let him get too hot. When my bird was sick one time, the vet said that a good temperature would be around 85 degrees. Also, be sure to keep the bulb and electrical cord far enough from the cage bars so that the bird can't touch or chew on them. It might be a good idea to partially cover his cage too, to help keep in the warmth.

Talk to Bamboo calmly and soothingly. Make sure his food and water bowls stay clean.

Watery poop once in a while doesn't always mean a bird is sick...if he happened to drink a lot of water earlier, or ate fruits or vegetables, he might have more watery droppings for a little while. But if you notice it happening regularly, like most of his droppings are watery for 1 or 2 days, then yeah that can be a bad sign.

Find a vet, but in the mean time, do your best to keep Bamboo warm, calm and comfortable. I hope your birdie will be feeling better soon. Maybe it will just work its way out of his system.
