Is Grevillea plant safe?

I'm not sure. But just bumping this in case any of our members knows the answer.

Yep! All the Australian Proteaceae are fine (not certain about South African ones, however). You can also use Hakea and Banksia as well as Callistemon, Melaleuca and Leptospermum (ie. pretty much all the decorative/garden varieties from Oz).

If you can get a good-sized branch of any of the above, your bird will have a marvellous time stripping the bark and turning the wood into matchsticks.

Eucalyptus is great as well and all my birds just adore getting a bunch of gumnuts to crack open and empty. If you can get the nuts from red-flowering ironbark your bird will just *love* you! The huge nuts hold a lot of proteinaceous seeds and they're quite difficult to winkle out. I reckon they're the world's best natural foraging toy! :)

The all-clear by Trish is more than good enough for me! Glad you saw and were able to help, my friend.
